I'm Dez, welcome to my digital studio! This is my space for all of my creative outlets, from charcoal drawing to YouTube hair videos to fashion TikToks. I'd love to be in a gallery one day, but this will always remain my artistic home. Flip the channel to the piece of me that you want to see. If you really vibe, take it all in. More about me: Born and raised in Atlanta, GA. My first creative outlet was YouTube in 2013. I found an amazing community as I was discovering my natural hair and playing with all the ways I could style it. I loved (and still love) making videos, but I felt a nagging call to the fine arts that I was scared to chase. In 2020 I had nothing better to do, so I started drawing.

 

Fast forward and here we are. Far before widespread use of generative AI, I gravitated to charcoal because the mess on my hands and my face made me feel one with the art I was making. I left my prints on something and it left its prints on me. Now, my art feels like an expression of my humanity. The mistakes, the imperfections - it's a mess only I could make.
